I’m just barely getting my feet wet when it comes to finding all the ways I could use the Web in my day to day life. But I have to give myself some credit — I’ve gone from an occasional surfer to a fledgling blogger and in the process I’ve begun to familiarize myself with a ton of new concepts and tools.

So my latest happy thought, admittedly 2 or 3 years behind the curve: social bookmarking sites. I’ve begun to think in tags. I can subdivide and categorize my life in these neat little buckets that stay neat and tidy in ways I just can’t replicate in the real world. What a wonderful thing.

Del.icio.us is the site I’m most invested in at this point (pretty true to my demographic I must admit). I’ve established subsets for all types of professional forums and personal retreats. Oh how I love the illusion of organization. And it can travel with me like a well-packed overnight bag, how cool is that?
